Imported marijuana seeds under investigation by Vietnam's Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department

The Supreme People's Procuratorate March 4 asked the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department (AID), part of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, to decide whether a recent import of 18 tons of cannabis seeds is legal under local customs regulations.

If the shipment is found to be illegal, its value must then be determined to impose penalties on the involved parties. The AID must also trace the currently unknown origin of the batch.

KopBusters' Barry Cooper Busted by Cops

CANNABIS CULTURE - Ex-narcotics officer turned cop-busting filmmaker Barry Cooper has been arrested for allegedly filing a false police report in a KopBusters sting operation, and for possession of less than a gram of marijuana found in a raid on his home.

Barry is a well-know marijuana activist and current candidate for Texas Attorney-General, and has been actively working on a project called KopBusters, a series of videos where he and his team set up sting operations and bust corrupt police officers committing crimes.

Cop posing as UPS agent makes drug bust

Two Lake County residents were charged with drug-related crimes after accepting a package of marijuana sent to them from Arizona through the United Parcel Service, police said.

Nikema C. Parker, 33, of the 2300 block of 14th Street in Waukegan, and Michael Womack, 26, of the 3000 block of 20th Place in North Chicago, are free on bond after receiving the package delivered Tuesday afternoon by an undercover officer posing as a UPS delivery driver, said Sgt. Christopher Thompson of the Lake County Sheriff's Department.

Three Spainsh nationals caught smuggling hashish pellets

Three Spanish nationals who had each swallowed around a kilo of hashish were arrested as they stepped off the ferry from Morocco to Gibraltar on Sunday night.

Officers from HM Customs (Gibraltar) became suspicious and detained the three Seville residents, who were later charged for smuggling drugs into Gibraltar.
