A COP used the police computer to access details of four women he targeted for sex, a court has heard.

PC Robert Campbell, 42, also threatened to display pictures of one woman in her underwear unless she grassed up her boyfriend who was a persistent offender, it is alleged.

Three of the women rejected the officer's advances but one had a sexual relationship with him lasting police pig corrupt cop bent several months, said prosecutor Toyin Salako.

Guildford Crown Court, in Surrey, heard the defendant continued misusing Hampshire Police's computerised records even after being warned about his conduct.

Vulnerable

Campbell, of Portsmouth, denies four charges of misconduct in public office.

Ms Salako said: "All the women involved were vulnerable.

"PC Campbell misused the system in an attempt to form personal relationships with them.

"He had no authority to access the system in this way."

She said Campbell, who joined the force ten years ago, knew the police data system should only be used for official police business.

Ms Salako said the first woman targeted by Campbell was Hayley Johnson, whose boyfriend was a repeat offender.

PC Campbell was assigned to keep an eye on his activities, and allegedly obtained Ms Johnson's address and mobile phone number from the police computer.

On one occasion officers raided Ms Johnson's apartment to try to find her boyfriend.

During the incident PC Campbell went into her bedroom and found a cannabis plant being grown there.

He also discovered pictures of Ms Johnson in her underwear, it was claimed.

Ms Salako said: "He threatened to display these photographs if her boyfriend did not give himself up."

She said Ms Johnson's boyfriend finally surrendered himself, but PC Campbell returned to the flat and gave her advice on how to grow the cannabis plant successfully.

Subsequently, it was claimed, he made several attempts to have a sexual relationship with her — but she refused.

Ms Salako said: "He did not take this rejection very well."

The second woman allegedly targeted by PC Campbell was Hannah Broughton, who had been the victim of a violent relationship.

PC Campbell obtained confidential details about her, including the address she had moved to following her break-up with her boyfriend, it was claimed.

The third alleged victim was Sonya Bridges.

Ms Salako said he pretended to be investigating problems she was having with harassment from another man.

She added: "But he made no record of this investigation."

Through Ms Bridges, said Ms Salako, PC Campbell struck up a relationship with a fourth woman — Roxanne Stubbington.

She said: "Ms Stubbington had a sexual relationship with PC Campbell that lasted for several months."

Once again, she said, he used the police computer to access confidential details about her.

PC Campbell denies any improper behaviour and maintains any enquiries he made were in the course of normal police business.

The trial continues.
