No To The Public Assemblies Bill For Northern Ireland

On the 20th April 2010 the First Minister (Peter Robinson) and Deputy First Minister (Martin McGuinness) published draft legislation in the form of the “Draft Public Assemblies, Parades and Protests Bill”. If the Bill becomes law, ALL gatherings involving 50 or more people, and which take place in any “public space” will be required to give 37 days prior notice. This groups is opposed to this draft legislation.

Nobody could 'legalise' drugs, drugs are objects that cannot be illegal. What is illegal are human activities pertaining to them. It is vital that we understand that even the law does not suggest that drugs are legal or illegal - they are controlled. The word 'controlled' does not equate to prohibtion, but rather implies what we want, regulation proportionately imposed to achieve the amelioration of social harmfulness caused by the misuse of drugs. This can only be done if we recognise that peaceful use of controlled drugs is possible and indeed commonplace.

People with no community support continue to attack innocent people, claiming they are drug dealers. We cannot allow this group to claim any moral authority.

fuck all paras The attack on the Red Star worker must be the final act we allow these fascists to carry out. Please come out and show your support for the man who was shot and to stand up to these self appointed, 'heroes of the community.' Sickos who crave for a violence fix and try and tell us how to lead our lives. Enough is enough, lets ostracise these sick terrorists from our community. They do not and never will act in our name. Please bring placards and make this protest a colourful and loud public demo to send a clear message to the men in the masks, that we are taking no more of this shite from them.
