BRUSSELS — Belgian authorities say they have seized between 12 and 18 tons of hashish in a warehouse on the outskirts of Brussels.
The public prosecutor’s office says police raided the warehouse on Wednesday but yet to determine the exact amount of drugs stored there.
The prosecutor’s office declined to confirm media reports that several people were arrested in the case.
Media reports say without citing sources that the hashish is valued at up to €25 million (US$34 million) and was smuggled into Belgium inside a shipment of potatoes from Morocco.
