A DUBLIN father-of-four caught in possession of cannabis while on two suspended sentences has been remanded in custody.
Andrew Fitzpatrick (32) was on suspended sentences for possession of drugs and theft when gardai found €310 worth of cannabis at his home, Tallaght District Court heard.
Judge James McDonnell refused bail and remanded Fitzpatrick in custody to appear before Dublin Circuit Criminal
Court, where a two-year sentence had been suspended for five years.
After being dealt with there, he will then be brought back to Tallaght Court, where a six-month sentence for drug possession had been suspended for two years.
The court heard gardai searched his home at Bawnlea Green, Tallaght on June 26, 2007.
Fitzpatrick was at home with his wife when gardai arrived. As they carried out the search, Fitzpatrick showed them where to find €300 worth of cannabis resin and €10 worth of cannabis herb. He said it was all for his personal use.
He had 18 previous convictions.
Judge James McDonnell refused bail.
