A DUBLIN woman caught with € 50 worth of cannabis has been fined € 150. Deborah Keogh, Marigold Grove, Darndale, appeared before Judge Patrick Brady at Swords District Court last week. Keogh, who is 30, pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of controlled drugs.
Giving evidence, Garda Brian Fitzgerald said the Director of Public Prosecutions had recommended disposing of the charge summarily. The court heard the defendant had been caught with € 50 of cannabis resin and Garda Fitzgerald said Keogh had ‘no history’ of convictions.
Judge Brady asked the defendant if she had anything to say and she replied: ‘It was mine.’
